Who we are.
Brian Hazlip, P.E.
Mr. Hazlip has 21 years of experience with a broad background in all aspects of engineering, construction and design. He began his career as a General Contractor in the residential and commercial fields after graduating from LSU with a concentration in Construction Management. He later received a second degree from LSU in engineering and for the last 20 years have been working in the municipal and industrial fields which has given opportunities to work on a great number and various types of civil engineering projects.
Most of that time has been spent acting as a Project Manager/Design Engineer for a wide variety of civil engineering projects in the private sector, local, state, federal and industrial clients. Project have included designs for site layouts for subdivisions, site layouts for commercial buildings, malls, home and building design, greenfield & brownfield industrial sites to name a few areas and involved all aspects of grading, drainage, water and sewer infrastructure, parking lots, roadway plans, truck loading docks, sewer treatment plants, water treatment plants, water and stormwater pumping stations, stormwater detention ponds, process ponds, tanks, coastal restoration and firewater systems.
He has spent time acting as the representative for developers at council meetings and has been involved in all parts of the approval process for private sector, municipal and industrial clients.

Brian Raef PE, SE, Is the Co-Founder of B Square Engineering LLC. B Square was founded in 2022 in Baron Rouge. Brian has worked as discipline lead, project lead, project manager, and C/S department manager. He graduated from LSU in 2007 with a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. In 2012, he passed the NCEES professional engineering exam in civil engineering and in 2020 passed the 16 hour NCEES structural exam. He has successfully completed residential, commercial, offshore, midstream, and industrial projects.
